Sarah Palin's EBay Account Is Sad

By Beau Friedlander

Governor Sarah Palin got a volley of hoots and hollers when she boasted about selling her jet on EBay. Only one problem: She didn't. It was posted on EBay in 2006, but it languished on the site (you have to know what you're doing to move product on EBay--kinda like running a country, but smaller). Palin was going for a fiscal responsibility note, but the gesture has widened the perception of Palin as a liability for the McCain campaign.

Eight months after the item was listed on EBay, an aircraft broker sold the Westwind II for 2.1 million to business man named Larry Reynolds (down from 2.7 million). Reynolds lived in nearby Valdez.

Palin's over-claim underscores what critics have been saying since her speech Wednesday night (and before that as well), that the governor from Alaska was not thoroughly vetted by the McCain camp.

We'll be taking a look at the bridge to nowhere (more specifically the road to the bridge to nowhere) over the weekend.

Stay tuned.

The point is that she is a liar or at the very least extremely insincere, you cannot take what she says at face value.
She gave people the IMPRESSION that she was some kind of trend setter because she sold a large state asset on Ebay when in fact she didn't, it was sold thru convention means. Just as she says she's fiscally conservative because she told the Fed "no thanks" to the bridge to nowhere when in fact she had supported it, and wound up taking the money for it anyway, she decided against the bridge because it had become a political embarrassment- Ted Stevens brought home the pork and Palin ate it.
She also hired a lobbyist as mayor of Wasilla to help her pull in money from Washington- you know, in other words federal pork, she is a typical repub hypocrite.

In a few weeks when the novelty wears off, and as more dirt comes out about who this wacko is; I believe a lot of people who supported her are going to wonder what they were thinking.
She is a good sales person though.
